Polish cops vs. Chinese gangsters. A tribute to Michael Cimino’s cult detective film that tackles racism in America and stars Mickey Rourke.

Exceptional 35-mm screening!

American cinema lost one of its giants in 2016. A look back at a neo-noir classic. Stanley White is a cranky New York cop on the Chinatown beat who goes on a crusade to bring down the local triad gangs, using the heavy-handed tactics he’s known for. As a Vietnam vet, he’s a stand-in for America itself. The film, co-written by Oliver Stone, was controversial when it came out but has since become a classic of American cinema of the early ’80s, as the New Hollywood era was coming to a close.
