The great names in cinema
CANADA | 85 minutes | 2016
Two teens, the east coast, summer, the 70s, twisted comedy and a knock-out soundtrack. July, 1976, in the town of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, a pair of teens with too much time on their hands, Kit and Alice, hit the road to meet up with Kit’s weird and wonderful mother, Laura. Naturally, some growing up happens along the way. Bruce McDonald (Hard Core Logo) teams up with veteran playwright and scriptwriter Daniel MacIvor to create a sensitive coming-of-age story, shot in subtle black-and-white. The ghost of Andy Warhol even has a cameo!
