Over the last 20 years, American artist and filmmaker Jennifer Reeder has created a unique world with touches of magic, tenderness and black comedy. Situated somewhere between art videos and teen movies, her work explores the cruel complexities of young women’s lives today. Her films are feminist and activist, and have received numerous awards and distinctions, from the Whitney Biennial in New York to festivals such as Sundance, Berlin, Venice and Rotterdam.
