Gutsy cinema that breaks new ground
QUEBEC, Canada | 95 minutes | 2016
As he witnesses his brother’s downward spiral, Vincent must deal with the insidious violence of daily life. When he’s caught stealing marijuana by couple of mobsters, Vincent has no other choice but to resume contact with his estranged older brother Michel. Their days are spent in a haze of dejection and inactivity in a toxic rural setting. An atmospheric film where nature is all-pervasive, set to a hypnotizing soundtrack. Magnificently shot in black and white on 16mm film.
