Spotlight on homegrown cinema
QUEBEC, Canada | 66 minutes | 2016
When Montreal’s foulosophes meet Copenhagen’s utopians, you get this wild and wonderful documentary. Since 1971, the community of Christiania has occupied an old military base in the heart of Copenhagen. The “free city” now has more than 800 inhabitants who live by a special law, sell marijuana and do yoga. It’s the kind of anarchist utopia that was bound to delight the Université de foulosophie! After hosting the Christianites in Montreal, François Yo Gourd documented the founding of a new circle of foulosophie in Copenhagen. Freedom!
