Pulcinella is sent from the bowels of Vesuvius to help a water buffalo calf. A fable about modern-day Italy, lost and beautiful. Tommaso, a humble shepherd, is the caretaker of an abandoned Neapolitan palace repeatedly pillaged and reduced to a ruin by the local mafia. Then, suddenly, he dies.
