An impressionistic patchwork in which human relationships are seen as a form of resistance. In this new project, Mike Hoolboom, the internationally acclaimed artist and video maker from Toronto, undertakes a vast reflection on cinema, the influence of politics and the pursuit of freedom and happiness. Presented at the most recent Rotterdam film festival, this hybrid work combines black and white photos, animated sequences and 16mm footage. It all comes together in a gleeful mix that sees our relationships as a form of resistance.
